The Rococo Blouse is inspired by the bodices of 18th Century gowns. The Rococo Blouse Pattern features a low square neckline with front and back princess seams, is fully lined with the easy bag lining technique, and buttons up the front (View A) or buttons up the back (View B). View A features a gathered sleeve ruffle with a detachable eyelet ruffle similar to the original 18th century gowns and View B has triple circular ruffles. The sleeve ruffles are interchangeable between the views. The Rococo Blouse can be worn to historic events when made in historic fabrics and toile prints. For a modern interpretation, omit the sleeve ruffles and have a comfortable princess sleeve blouse that layers well under a jacket. The Rococo Blouse can also be made in the Flamenco style. The pattern instructions include how to alter the pattern for a custom fit based on your measurements. Sizes 4 to 26 are included. Recommended Fabrics: light to medium weight non-stretch fabrics, cotton prints, toile, linen, silk crepe and dupioni, charmeuse, blouse weight polyesters. Lining: lightweight cotton, batiste, voile, rayon lining, poly lining.
